Principal's Message

Message from Administration

As we head into May, I want to take a moment to thank our amazing Windsong community for your continued support and involvement.

National Volunteer Week (April 27–May 3) is a special time to recognize the incredible parents, guardians, and community members who generously give their time to support our students and staff. Whether volunteering in classrooms, helping with field trips, or attending a School Council meeting, your efforts make a meaningful difference. We appreciate you!

We’re also grateful to those who have already donated balls, frisbees, and other items for outdoor recess. If you’re still considering a donation, we welcome them! Our team will ensure items are cleaned and ready for student use.

Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5–9) is just around the corner, and we encourage families to join us in recognizing the dedication and passion our teachers bring to their classrooms every day. We also want to acknowledge the incredible work of all Windsong staff — from educational assistants and office staff to caretakers and support teams — who each play a vital role in creating a positive, safe, and engaging school experience for our students.

This week, students have been out in the community participating in the annual RVS Helping Hands Clean-Up. Our school grounds and surrounding areas are looking fantastic — thanks to their effort and pride in their community.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the Smile Cookie campaign at Tim Hortons. Your cookie purchases help fund local charities and community groups here in Airdrie.

Looking ahead, the OurSCHOOL Parent Survey will run from May 12 to June 6. This is a valuable opportunity for you to share your feedback about your child’s sense of engagement and belonging at school. More information will be shared soon.

Let’s finish these final two months of the school year strong — together.

Your Windsong Admin Team
